IBADAN, NIGERIA - November 11, 2009 Ibadan is the third largest city in Nigeria by population (after Lagos and Kano), and also the largest in geographical area. The city is a prominent transit point between the coastal region and the areas to the north which includes 11 local government areas. People The principal inhabitants of the city are of the Yoruba culture. The main industries in the area include the processing of agricultural products which include flour-milling, leather-working and furniture-making. There is an abundance of clay, kaolin and aquamarine in its environs, and there are several cattle ranches.
